Learn to Play D&D: Family Edition

Curious about Dungeons & Dragons? Have your kids been talking about wanting to play it? This is the event for you!
Join Dungeon Master and dad Jeff as he leads you on an introductory tour of the amazing world of D&D! Get a taste of how the game works, build a character, and then play in an actual session! Parents are encouraged to play alongside their kids, but are also welcome to hang out and observe. In addition to being taught how to play, parents and older kids will be given advice on how to ‘dungeon master’ (lead) games for their kids/friends.

In the morning, Jeff will introduce the players and observers to how D&D works, including getting them involved with actual gameplay using pre-generated characters. This will give the players context for the next activity. Next, there will be a character creation workshop in which each participant will learn how to make their very own D&D character.

In the afternoon, players will have the opportunity to put their new characters into action! Jeff will run a full one-session adventure (estimated time ~4 hours) tailor-made for new players.

Note: As we anticipate some participants not being able to stick around for the entire day’s events, the morning and afternoon events are priced separately. Those who participate in the morning are greatly encouraged to take part in the afternoon event if able, but are not required. The same goes for those who wish to participate in the afternoon, but are not able to make the morning. For those only participating in the afternoon, please arrive by 12:30PM. Pre-generated characters will be available.

Ages: 3rd Grade and Up
Fee: $5 per Person per Event (morning and afternoon are seperate)
Experience Required: None!

Schedule:
-Morning Event-
9AM – 1 Hour Introduction to D&D (with actual gameplay)
10AM – How to Make Your Very Own Character
12PM – Lunch Break
-Afternoon Event-
1PM – Your First Session! (estimated 4 hours)

Interest and questions about this has been great! Jeff only has the ability to run 6 people at 1 time (morning character building or afternoon play session, so if you want to reserve a spot, give the store a call or come in. We’ll collect your $5 per player per session and lock your spot in!
If more than 8 people really want in, we’ll try to recruit another DM and start another table!
